How to Begin Affiliate Marketing as A Beginner and Make Your First $ Online?
Anyone can do it, work only 30 min/day
What is Affiliate Marketing?
Well, let me break it down for you.
Affiliate marketing is when you promote someone else's product and earn a commission for each sale made through your unique referral link. That's it!
If you're a total newbie, don't worry! I've got a free affiliate marketing guide to help you get started.
And, if you're curious about the exact strategy I used to succeed, check out my Affiliate Marketing Actionable Checklist.
Here's the thing: you don't need to create the product, deliver it, or even build a website. Your job is to promote it. Easy peasy!
But, let's get real. Affiliate marketing isn't a get-rich-quick scheme. You need to put in the work to generate traffic and stay consistent. That's where most people fail.
They expect overnight success, throw in the towel too soon, and end up disappointed.
Trust me, affiliate marketing takes time, effort, and patience. But, when it pays off, it's sweet!
So, don't give up!
If you wanna succeed in affiliate marketing, you gotta keep pushing and working with blind faith that it'll pay off. And trust me, it will - just give it 3 months!
You gotta put in the work every single day, even if you don't see progress. It's like running a marathon, not a sprint!
But what if you've been putting in the effort and still getting zilch? Well, let me tell you, my friend, you've probably been heading in the wrong direction!
I know, I know - I've been there too! I've been trying affiliate marketing for a year now, and after a gazillion attempts, I finally cracked the code!
So, what's the secret sauce? Drum rolls, please... IT'S EMAILS, BABY!
Almost everyone checks their emails daily, and most have subscribed to their favorite newsletters. That's where the magic happens!
Email Affiliate Marketing 101:
Build an email list through a funnel page (don't worry, I'll explain below)
Email your target audience with affiliate offers
Get commissions when someone buys through your referral link
No ads, no website, no delivering goods - just pure, sweet email magic!
I learned this from Matt's Secret Email System (his $5 email system is a game-changer!). It helped me score my first-ever affiliate commission!
Which was very small though.
Well, the first step is choosing the right affiliate offer. It's like finding the perfect match for your niche!
How to Choose the Right offer?
High Ticket Affiliate Marketing:
High ticket offers are like the premium products that pay you $100+ per sale. You need fewer sales to generate more commissions. Imagine promoting a product that pays $500 per sale - you only need 6 sales to make $3000!
Low Ticket Affiliate Marketing:
Low ticket offers pay between $1-$50 per sale. They're easy to convert, but you need more sales to reach that $3k mark. If you're just starting out, low ticket offers are a great way to begin!
Finding Affiliate Offers:
So, how do you find these amazing offers? Here's the secret:
Search for your niche + affiliate program on Google (e.g., "keto diet + affiliate program")
Sign up for programs with less than 10% refund rate and high conversion rates
Use affiliate networks like Impact, Partnerstack, or (link unavailable) (my fave!)
Setting Up the Automated Email System:
I learned this from Matt's $5 secret email system ( it's a game-changer for beginners). Here's how to set it up:
Sign up for Systeme.io or Getresponse (both are free up to a limit)
Create a funnel page (easy peasy, just edit a template)
Offer a freebie related to your niche in exchange for email addresses
Set up an autoresponder and email automation workflow
Add affiliate links to swipe emails and set them up in the workflow
That's it! Now, you can make sales while you sleep.
A person signs up, gets the automated email with a freebie, and then receives emails with your affiliate offers. Boom!
IF you want to see how to create a freebie, set up a funnel system and automate it, then you must check out this checklist that walks you through every step with video instructions.
When you've got your funnel page set up, but now you need to drive traffic to it. Here's the thing: there are many ways to do this, both free and paid.
How to Promote your Affiliate links?
Don't Waste Money on Ads (Yet!)
I'm not saying paid ads are bad, but when you're just starting out, it's better to go for safer, more cost-effective options. Remember, digital marketing is all about skills, so invest in learning those skills first!
Put in the Effort (30 Minutes a Day)
This is where you'll need to put in some elbow grease - 30 minutes a day, every day, for at least 2-3 months. Here are some ways to drive traffic:
Create a Pinterest account and pin like crazy (20 pins/day, 5 new pins/day)
Write on Medium (3 articles/week) and solve your audience's problems and refer the products (as your affiliate links)
Drive traffic from Facebook groups, LinkedIn, and Instagram
A wise promotional strategy can go like this:
Content Mix:
Value Posts (60%): Share informative, engaging, and relevant content (tips, tutorials, news, etc.) without affiliate links.
Affiliate Posts (20%): Share affiliate links within valuable content (reviews, comparisons, etc.).
Engagement Posts (10%): Ask questions, request feedback, or start discussions.
Promotional Posts (10%): Share exclusive deals, discounts, or promotions.
Posting Schedule:
Facebook: 3-4 times a week
Instagram: 5-7 times a week (including stories and reels)
Twitter: 5-10 times a week
Pinterest: 3-5 times a week
Be Patient and Persistent
This won't work overnight, but with consistent effort, you'll start seeing results. Remember, affiliate marketing is a marathon, not a sprint!
If you are just beginning affiliate marketing, I’ll definitely suggest you get an account for Systeme.io, it’s best for beginners.
